Uxbridge Writers' Circle is welcoming new members!
We are dedicated to encouraging and promoting the art and skill of writing in a supportive environment.
Membership is free and open to all genres.
We meet in the Williamson Boardroom, Uxbridge Arena, on the first Tuesday of every month at 1.30pm.
We invite speakers to join us for some of our meetings.
Most members participate in our monthly 'word challenge' and write a piece (fiction/non-fiction, any genre including poetry/lyrics etc.) when we must use words selected by members at the previous month's meeting. We each read our writing to the group.
We usually hold a ten-minute on-the-spot writing challenge as well. (Members are not obliged to participate in this or the word challenge).
Members may read sections from current WIPs and may share writing progress and experience.
The meetings are informal and supportive to all members.
